Tamsin Wood BPA (Hons)

TEACHER AND CHOREOGRAPHER AT WTA DANCE ACADEMY

Tamsin trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance Conservatoire gaining a BPA Hons degree in contemporary dance performance in 2007. She taught at WTA whilst organising further training in New York City where she trained in such esteemed establishments as The Alvin Ailey School, The Cunningham Studios, Martha Graham School, Paul Taylor Dance Company, not to mention taking advantage of the time to study American Tap and Hip Hop as well! In 2009 she performed with Peter Grist and company where she won acclaim for her energy and athleticism. In 2010 she was the lead singer and dancer for Classic International Cruises performing shows around the Baltic and the Mediterranean. Tamsin has been strongly influenced through her work in India where she performed with the A list Stars of Bollywood, dancing in the Movies, Music Videos and performing on Dance India Dance. On her return Tamsin choreographed and performed in Chipperfield’s Bollywood Circus, later forming Wright Bollywood Dance Company.
Tamsin specialises in teaching Modern Theatre, Tap, Jazz, Street Dance and Bollywood.
