Lisa King

After gymnastic training during her earlier years Lisa began dance training at the age of 12.  Since then she has had a passion for most forms of dance.  Through her teens she achieved exams in tap, modern and jazz with the BBO examination board, later studying ballet with the ISTD.

In 2007 she danced in Bollywood Jane at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.  During A Levels and her time at Bradford University teacher training she danced with various amateur theatre groups performing musicals at many local theatres including the Alhambra in Bradford. She also performed with TranscenDance throughout the UK. Her love of performing influenced her teaching choices in creative arts education.

As a senior leader in primary education and an experienced Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator, Lisa trains and supports the WTA faculty in the Quality First Teaching strategies needed to meet all the needs of the WTA pupils and students.

Lisa enjoys working with WTA as it is her belief that inclusion and acceptance is what makes WTA a special place to be.  The faculty work closely together to support, teach and enable all pupils to become the best they can be whilst supporting their mental health and wellbeing as they grow and develop at such a crucial time of life.
